Throughout your life I promise to squash every person who makes you feel sad. I will hold your hand for as long as you want me to. I will be with you every second of every day. I will know what to do no matter how difficult a situation may be. I will know the answer no matter how difficult the question. I will live forever and you'll never be without me.
Isn't it a shame that I can't promise all these things to you? I can promise that the reality will make you a stronger, more confident woman.
Throughout our life together I promise to listen to you when someone makes you feel bad or breaks your heart. I will hold your hand and hug when you come home from school. I will try and do the right thing by you at all times but I am human and even Mummies make mistakes. I will answer your questions as best I can but I will always tell you if I don't know the answer. I promise to help you learn to be independent and strong. I love you with a love that transcends this world and I can promise that I will love you forever.
