My Family

I wish I had taken a photo diary of yesterday afternoon and evening and this morning!

My sister and two of her lovely kids came to stay with us over night and despite the fact that in the end, instead of sleeping on the new airbed in the loft I slept until 1 am in my armchair with my daughter curled up in my lap and the rest of the night laid on the sofa (it was warmer) a fantabulous* time was had by all!

The things children say to each other is fascinating but what fascinates me the most is what they say to us.  My nephew, Alfie, who is going to be 4 this year (big) has had some very funny chats with me.

This morning Alfie said to me:
ALFIE:"Auntie Leonie, I want a glass of orange squash."
ME:"How do you ask me then?"
ALFIE: "Can I have a glass of squash?"
ME: "P...?"
ALFIE:" Can I have a glass of "p" squash?"

Aurelia and her cousin Daisy are typical girly friends.  They miss each other when they are apart but when they are together all it takes is the wrong game or DVD choice and you start to believe that daggers might suddenly fly from their eyes!  Then when they go one of them is suddenly distraught!
Together they do have a tendency to gang up on poor little Alfie (who hasn't realised this yet) in particular when it comes to the afformentioned DVD viewing choices!

My brother and sister-in-law and their son will be arriving here on Friday to stay the weekend with us and I will be taking the photo diary I wished I had taken yesterday!

*Occaisionally I make up words.  How,ever I am not like President Bush, I know I am doing it!
