The worth of a notebook!

Anyone who knows me, knows also that I have an obsession with pretty boxes and pretty notebooks!
I have smaller interests in lockets and poison rings.

I am very at home with my own company and I think that the obsession sprung from being able to tell a page what I am thinking and not having someone give me their opinion back.  The same can be said of a pretty box.  All your special possesions can be kept inside and no one would know if the box contains jewellery or a letter from your first love.

Thankfully I have grown out of my self imposed hermitage but, my love for pretty stationery and trinket boxes remains.

I was sat in bed last night reading Elle Decoration (I am past reading wedding magazines in order to plan for my future- I think that's worth a blog of it's own), and writing notes in what I call my "Day Book".  It's a generic, hard-back, spiral bound, flouro pink notebook that I bought in Sainsbury's and have decorated with a Thomas Sabo Jewellery advert that I cut out of Vogue. This notebook has "Action" lists and things I intend to transfer to my bulky diary at the end of each day.  As it stays in my handbag all the day it has notes on book ideas and potential money making ideas written in it.

And a few doodles of a super hero I invented instead of studying German back in the day.

Super Kreutel!!!

Super Kreutel is a tortoise who wears a cape and an eye mask so no one will be able to identify him. He didn't do much but he did save me from irregular verbs once (it was a very dicey situation, I nearly died of boredom).

Next there is my journal. It is a sweet little blue leather affair with a dragon fly embossed on the cover. The contents of that note book I would NEVER publish....unless I could make a living out of it!

Then there are project notebooks.  I think I have around 6 of those for various interests of mine.
The point is this, if I saw another pretty notebook right now I would absolutely buy it!  And then invent a reason to use it.

I used to have more boxes but Aurelia also loves them and so my collection as halved since she could walk and talk!

Although it's not the most interesting subject in the world, I thought I would share it with you in the hope that you would all share an obsession  or secret passion with me!
